(Medical):Tilmon suffered from a stroke wich in time resulted in his death. His mild behavior after the stroke was a blessing to his family in their care giving.

Tilmon married Lola Conlay. Lola was born on 1 Nov 1916; died on 21 Feb 1993 in , Natchitoches Par., Louisiana, USA; was buried on 23 Feb 1993 in Goldonna, Natchitoches Par. Louisiana, USA. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

  2. 13.  Lola Conlay was born on 1 Nov 1916; died on 21 Feb 1993 in , Natchitoches Par., Louisiana, USA; was buried on 23 Feb 1993 in Goldonna, Natchitoches Par. Louisiana, USA.

    Notes:

Lola was the daughter of Odis and Ola (Kimball) Conlay.

If ever a woman was saint while she lived, it was Lola. She cared for her grand mother and raised six children on a poor sand land farm while her husband slaved away in the highway department.

As one child noted, "If ever a board was nailed or sawed, soil tilled, live stock cared for, mother did it."

It was a shock to cousins to visit their home and watch her cut up food on her teen age boys plates. None of her daughters continued this honoring of male children in their adult life but the girls were note worthy in their care of their Monroe grand parents as well as helping their mother at home.

One of her daughters was voted High School Beauty Queen.
