Ronald married Vivian Ione Monroe. Vivian (daughter of Arthur George Monroe and Mary Charlotte Converse) was born on 4 Jun 1905 in Fowlerville, Livingston Co., Michigan, USA; died in in Of, Ironwood, Michigan, USA. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Notes:

Vivian married Dr. Ronald Perkins, a chiropodist and lived in Ironwood, Michigan. They had two sons.

Arthur was later adopted by his uncle, James Monroe. He married Mary Converse, a beautiful brunette. She was a Seventh Day Adventist and Arthur's family had a hard time accepting her religion. They had two daughters who were still quite young when Mary died.

Arthur's second wife, Marion was very religious. At this time, Arthur joined the choir at the Baptist church in Fowlerville, Michigan. One night after he left choir practice, he picked up some groceries and drove home. As he was carrying the groceries to the house, he was attacked. He lay unconscious all night and was found by the mover he had hired to help him pack up to move. They had just sold their home for $17,000 and the it is assumed that the assailant thought he had the cash. When the investigators went into the house, they found his wife, Marion, had been murdered in her bed. Many people feel that the murderer was a former employee, a Belgian who had come to the U.S. to work in suger beet fields. He had made advances to Arthur's wife and had been warned about that. The Belgian had been seen in the vicinity the day of the murder.

Later, Arthur married Hazel, a conniving woman who managed to get most of his savings and ended up with a divorce.

Arthur married Mary Charlotte Converse on 14 Oct 1897 in Conway Twp., Livingston Co., Michigan, USA. Mary was born on 3 Mar 1870 in Conway Twp., Livingston Co., Michigan, USA; died in Sep 1908. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Notes:

Mary was an active Seventh Day Adventist and Arthur's family had a hard time accepting her. She died when their two daughters were still quite young.

Notes:

George lived in Howell, Michigan. One reference says George's wife, Sarah died in May 1874 and that her name was Sarah C. Boothby. She was the daughter of N. S. and Martha (Temple) Boothby.

He was a farmer in Ingham County and belonged to the Baptist Church. He died of a cerebral hemorrhage at the age of 80.

George's second wife was Mary Bird (or Maria) Purchase.

George married Sarah Cornelia Boothby on 20 Sep 1864 in Howell, Livingston Co., Michigan, USA. Sarah (daughter of Nathaniel S. Boothby and Martha Temple) was born on 10 Jan 1843 in Hartford, , Ohio, USA; died on 21 Oct 1877 in Howell, Livingston Co., Michigan, USA. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Notes:

Sarah died of "neuralgia of the stomach" at the age of 34. This could have been some kind of malnutrition or persistent vomiting, cancer, or something like amoebic dysentery - even diabetes. She was found dead in bed when George and Rosa came home from church one Sunday evening. When she died, the children ranged in age from 12 to 2 so they went to live with relatives until George remarried.
