James joined the U.S. Army about 1934. He served all during World War II and was stationed in the Islands, Japan, Germany, Terkey, Texas and Oklahoma. He retired from the Army in about 1958 after 24 years of service. He then went to work for Hartford Insurance in Dallas, Texas. He retired again at age 66.
The Mitchell reference says James died in Apr 1990.

Ruby lived at 408 Meadow Park in Fort Worth, Texas. She was the daughter of Walter Raleigh and Nancy Catherine (Hanes) Moore).
Charles and Ruby were introduced by Charles' cousin, Geraldine (Jerry) Kennedy-5762. Jerry and Ruby were roommates in nursing school in Brady, Texas. Later, Charles and Ruby named one of their daughters, Jerryl, after Jerry.
Charles worked at General Dynamics in California and Texas until his retirement.
He died at home in Fort Worth, Texas in 1982.
