[Albert Munro of Coul]«i» Only son of Robert Munro of Coul (d. 1696) and Ann Gladstone; suc. Father (or uncle); writer; Assembly comm. Munro??? 1727…1743, 1752, Albert Munro of Coul Esq. d. unmarried Edinburgh 20 or 22 Jul 1772, having lived there most of his life and being an elder from 1727 in the Tolbooth Church there; served heir to uncle Dr. John of Coul in 1/4 of lands of Culcraigie 1764; the last direct male of his family, sold estate of Coul to Hugh Munro of Teaninich (1756 valuation L254-10-0) (d. 1767) whose brother James of Teaninich arranged payment of Albert's legacy of L100 for poor of Inverness; treasurer to Herot's??? Hospital, Edinburgh, 1748-58. See Halbert Munro.

Albert Munro of Coul was a writer in Edinburgh. He served as treasurer of Heriot's Hospital and director of SPCK. He sold his estate which was formerly known as Culmalachie.

"Albert of Coul, writer in Edinburgh, treas. of Heriot's Hospital, director SPCK, sold estate formerly known as Culmalachie, d unm 22 Jly 1772."
Albert served as an elder in the Alness Church and was one of the five heritors of that parish who voted for the appointment of the Rev. James Fraser to succeed the Rev. Daniel Mackillican, who died 22 Jun 1724.
Albert frequently represented the Presbytery of Dingwall as one of its commissioners at the General Assembly 1727-1743. He took a deep interest in the welfare of his native parish, and was instrumental, along with Captain George Munro, of Culrain, and Hugh Munro, of Teaninich in getting the church repaired in 1738 and the manse in 1744.
He lived most of his life in Edinburgh, and was an elder in the Tolbooth Church there. He sold the estate of Coul to Hugh Munro of Teaninich and died unmarried.
