Annie married Nathaniel Bowen Cooke on 22 Apr 1836 in Bristol, Bristol Co., Rhode Island, USA. Nathaniel was born on 26 Feb 1816 in Cambridgeport, Rhode Island; died on 14 Apr 1871 in Lonsdale, Rhode Island. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Notes:

Lydia was a graduate of Mt. Holyoke College, last class before it became a college, in Greek, Latin and German. She also taught the deaf at Lexington Avenue School for the Deaf in New York City.

In 1900, she had the remains of her great-grandfather, Dr. Thomas Monro [144], brought from Stonington, Connecticut and buried in her family lot in Juniper Hill Cemetery, in Bristol, Rhode Island.

She retired in 1911. She was unmarried.
