He was a civil engineer, licensed in all the New England states and in New York. He worked with his father's firm, James A. Munroe & Sons, until 1946 then went into a partnership with Guy S. Langstroth (Munroe-Langstroth, Inc.). The partnership was dissolved in 1963.
He lived at 74 High St., North Attleboro, Massachusetts
