    Notes:

    Harvey was reportedly living in the Grand Rapids, Michigan area in the 1865. Although not positively identified as Orren's brother, a Harvey Monroe was found working as a farmer with $800 in property living in Walker Township, Kent County, Michigan in 1850 and 1860. (Grand Rapids is in Kent County.) No other Harvey Munro (Monroe) was found in the area. This Harvey was born in Massachusetts about 1795. Nothing was found to contradict the idea that this Harvey was Orren's brother except that some say that Harvey was born in Scotland.

    Orren (or Orrin) was living in Eastern Canada in 1832 and 1835. He moved to Watertown, Jefferson County, New York by 1838 and moved to Albion, Oswego County, New York by 1850 where he worked as a carpenter. He was again living in Watertown in 1855. He is found in Seymour Township, Northumberland County, Ontario, Canada in 1861 and was still there in 1881.

    Orren married a Canadian woman around 1819 and had five children by her. He then married Mahala in about 1843 and had six children by her. Mahala was the mother of Silvester Laughton by a previous marriage. Orren died about 1895.

    Peris' first wife, Polly, was the daughter of Alonzo and Miranda Hubbel.

    Peris and Polly lived near Healey Falls, Seymour Township, Northumberland County, Ontario, Canada where they had nine of their eleven children. In 1862 they moved to Oak Lake, Methuen Township, Peterborough County, Ontario, Canada where they had their other two children.

    They moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1865 and then homesteaded 80 acres in Pinora Township, Lake County, Michigan in 1866. Polly died in 1874. Peris later homesteaded another 80 acres in what became Munro Township, Cheboygan County, Michigan and moved there in 1876.

    He married Annie Haffner in 1877 and died in October 1908.

Sometime after his marriage, Orren changed his name from Munro to Monroe.

    Notes:

    Sophira moved to Michigan with the family in 1865. She apparently met and married Martin Horan near Berlin, Ottawa County, Michigan in about 1868. They were living in Osceola County in 1870. Another reference gives the place of marriage as Mecosta Co., Michigan.

    Sophira and Martin homesteaded 80 acres in Lincoln Township, Osceola County, Michigan in 1871 near Sophira's parents' homestead. They moved to Munro Township, Cheboygan County, Michigan in 1876 and homesteaded another 80 acres there.
    She died of typhoid fever on 29 Oct 1887.

    Notes:

    Erastus moved with the family to Michigan in 1865 and was living in Pinora Township, Lake County, Michigan in 1870. He moved to Munro Township, Cheboygan County in 1876 and got a 73 acre farm from his brothers in 1882.

    He and his wife moved to California in 1910 with five of their children where he established a builder's hardware store in 1911. They were staunch members of the Santa Monica, California Christian Church.

    In 1898, she married Samuel Croxall and moved to California in about 1906. There, Samuel worked as a street car maintenance man.
