The following is from the True reference:

It appears that both Elizabeth and Alexander, her brother, added an "e" to the end of their names, but both were listed in the Pictou Census of 10 April 1871 as Munro without the "e".

In the Descendents of Joseph Kilgore (1690-1764) the spelling is listed as "Monroe", however, in her own hand writing she signed the Precious Thoughts Birthday Book as "Munroe", which does add an "e" at the end of the spelling her father used but does not change the "u" to "o".

John White thinks he knows why she left Nova Scotia and came to Lisbon Falls, Maine. Her cousin Eugene McIntosh lived in Lisbon Falls. He thinks she came to get a job. She did housekeeping work. eugene lived across the street from Ellery Jones. Ida Kilgore Jones' second husbnad. Ida's daughter Evelyn Jones White is the wife of the above mentioned John White.

Micro film # 0011739 entitiled Vital Records Poland Maine USA (Androscoggin Co.) 1802-1937 recrds of town clerk.Descendents of Joseph Killgore 1690-1764 states place of marriage to be Lisbon Falls,Androscoggin,Maine,USA.

4. Records of John W. White have her date of death as 20 May 1943 but her son, Erwin True Kilgore's diary of 1943 in his own handwriting had her date of death as 19 May 1943.

The following was written by Evelyn Carol True:

Lola never married but lived at home in the family homestead with her sister Verna. The two cared for Mama and Papa until their passing, and then Verna married George Hopkins. After this time, Verna and George kept the homestead at 15 Erchles St. Rumford, Maine in the area known as Rumford Park and Lola moved out to start housekeeping in her own apartment, below the Park. She later moved to the Hotel Harris in downtown Rumford where she lived until just short of her 95th birthday when she independently decided it was time for her to go to a Nursing Home in Farmington, Maine.

When Verna died, she left the homestead to Lola. The Erchles Street house was a duplex and Verna and George had owned both parts. Lola sold the house and the money she received helped to maintain her in her old age.

Lola worked most of her life at the Railroad Freight office in Rumford. She was well loved by everyone and loved to do things for all her many nieces and nephews. She was very independent and always took great pride in doing things for herself. She would become very indignant if someone should call her an old maid. She considered herself "an unclaimed treasure".

When she was asked what was the secret to her long life, she replied, "ice cream." She could be counted on to bake a pot of beans for the Saturday night suppers at the Methodist Church in Rumford. If anyone she knew was not well, Lola was there with soup. Lola organized many family gatherings. She loved to make homemade ice cream, but the churning was left to the plentiful supply of young people she would gather around to help her.

Shortly before she passed on Easter Sunday, I had the privilege of a special visit with her. She had summoned me to come. She told me that, "He (Heavenly Father) told me I had to forgive that person." I told her, "it would be a gig weight off your shoulders if you could". She said, "I know but it's very hard after so many years." She talked of the little people with wings who had told her they would be with her when she went. She told me I had them too. I told her that, "I knew, but I wasn't ready to go yet."

In June, Lola passed on with Roger Kilgore at her bedside. She was 97 and a half years old.

Dad was the youngest of 9 children. He was also the only one to go to college. He graduated from Bentley College in Waltham" Massachusetts in Accounting. He stuck with his first employer, The General Electric Company for a life-long career of 47 years. Often being relocated. At the time of his retirement he was Assistant Treasurer of the International General Electric Company. Places he lived and worked were: Scotia/Schenectady; Glenside/Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Brideport & Nichols, Conneticut- Bridgeport Plant; Niskayuna, Schenectady New York & Pittsfield, Massachusetts; Scarsdale, Westchester, New York & Corporate Headquarters on Park Avenue, New York City.

Upon his retirement, he and his beloved wife Erma moved to Northfield, Franklin, Massachusetts, USA where they renovated a big old house at 160 Main St., which had been built as a wedding gift for the town doctor. The property also had a barn & carriage house. Dad built a Trout Pond down in the marshy section of the pasture. He kept it stocked for his pleasure.

Upon the occasion of the medical crisis of both Erwin & Erma in April 1991 the decision was made to close their home in Northfield and move them to the Hanover-Lebanon New Hampshire area. At first Dad was at a nursing home, Hanover Terrace and Mom in the adjacent assisted living home, The Greens. It was decided that a home would be purchased for them in Lebanon New Hampshire at 1 Garnet St. Their daugther Evelyn Carol True had assumed their care from early on their illnesses. The house was staffed round the clock 24/7/365 until the death of Erma, August 23, 1993.

They moved into their new home on 1 Sep 1991 and Dad died 12 days later. They were reunited, after having been separated due to the crisis, since April of that year and enjoyed a few last days together, reminising, & listening to their record collection, with Dad tapping his foot. The day before he died, Mom had come home from a trip to the beauty parlor, and Dad said, "Isn't my wife beautiful?" He also enjoyed watching his favorite team the "Red Socks" the night before he passed. They were a month and 12 days short of celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary.

Per his prior request he was cremated and his ashes are buried in Center Cemetery Lot 195 SE corner, Northfield, Franklin, Massachusetts.
