Error alert: It is impossible to make a reasonable estimate of Gordon's birth date. According to Mackenzie, Gordon's grandmother, Ann Purves Munro was born in 1800 and Gordon Ross died in 1824. There just isn't enough time for Ann to grow up and have a child who then grew up and had Gordon who then died as an adult in 1824. I'm assuming Gordon's death date of 24 May 1824 is incorrect.
