    Error alert: There is some confusion about this person in the Monroe Family Bible reference. The reference lists two people who are daughters of George Monroe and Anna (or Nancy) Worley. They are: Polly Monroe born 13 Dec 1814 and Mary Monroe born 21 Feb 1815. Supposedly they are sisters, but the dates indicate they were born only about 2 months apart. Polly is often used as a nickname for Mary so it is possible these two are actually the same person. Why she/they are given two different birth dates is unknown.

    Error alert: Apparently there were two children in this family named Robert Bull Monroe. The older one died young and then the next child was given the same name. However, three different birth dates are given to these two children in the reference. I don't know which dates are correct.

    Ambrose died at 3 am. His disease commenced with dysentery in Jul 1849. When he recovered from that, he had a fever and ague with which he was afflicted occasionally until about a month before his death. The fever turned to dropsy which proved fatal. Ambrose and his brother, George, were both "beautiful and interesting boys".
