She held certificates as a teacher and librarian. She taught school for three years and then became Assistant Editor of "The Instructor Magazine," a publication for elementary classroom teachers.
In 1962, Ann was living in Conesus, New York. In 1985 she was living at One Seward Street in Dansville, New York.
