Munro tree calls him "Mr. Alexander" - might this be the Alexander Monro Donaldson who in 1573 had chaplainry of St. Monan at Balconie in Kiltearn, 'for his sustentation at the scuills' with view to entering ministry? (demitted 1577) before 7-year period completed.
