Notes |
- After his first wife died, William returned from Michigan with his only son, Joseph. Joseph was six years old at the time. Upon returning to Pawlet, Vermont, William built a brick house on Rupert Road wich burned about 1902. His son, Joseph, built another house on the same spot. This house was still standing in 1967.
The family believes that Alta died in Michigan. Other references say she died in Town Line, New York. William's second wife was Mrs. David Curtis (Olive).
William was a very successful farmer.
