- William "Bill" was a Michigan State Policeman for 36 years. He retired in 1987 as a First Lieutenant and Post Commander. He also served 3 years in the U.S. Coast Guard.
He married Marilyn Kromrei. Marilyn changed her name to Suzanne when they were married because she didn't want to be called Marilyn Monroe.
When asked why he served in the Coast Guard and State Police, he answered "To help people." He spent his life helping people.
