Notes |
- Allen lived in Milo, Maine on the plot now occupied by the Methodist Church. At that time, this lot extended to Pleasant Street. The present Baptist Church property was sold from this original lot. Allen also owned considerable real estate at different times. One piece of his property was the square where the residence of Fred M. Strout is now located. It extended around and through what was the Dr. Hamlin estate, and is now the Dr. Snow estate.
Allen was a trader and conducted business in Milo. He later moved to California where he remained for a time, but later returned to Milo where he raised his family.
The last name of his first wife may have been Ferber.
His fourth wife was the widow of Dr. Chester Huckins.
