Notes |
- Asa was a sheep farmer and a successful Veterinarian even though he had no formal training. He excelled at raising horses and breaking in colts (work horses) which were inbred Morgans.
Asa's home was still standing in 1967 at Pawlet, Vermont.
Asa and Ashasah had no children of their own, but they adopted Frank Cushman, who served in the Civil War and retained the family homestead. Frank was in the Vermont Legislature in 1856 and 1857.
Error alert: The Charles C. Munroe, III reference says that Mary and Asa were twins but the R.S. Munroe reference gives different birth dates for them.
