"Entered 27th December 1854 on the authority of the father, attested by the minister: - James Munro, carter, Westfield and his spouse Jessie Carnie, had a son born 9th Nov. 1853 named Joseph, baptized by the Revd. W.L. Mitchell, in presence of Free Holburn congregation."
Joseph is found in the 1871 census of Aberdeen at the Pitmuxton address in the household of his father. "son, unmarried, aged 17, penmaker, born Aberdeen."
