- Nathaniel lived in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He was a carpenter, but was known for his musical skill, instrumental and vocal. He taught vocal music and was a long time leader of the choir in Dr. Holme's church. He was one of the early members of the Handel and Hayden Society. He served as a fifer in the war of 1812.
His first wife, Martha (Patty) Lewis was from Portsmouth, New Hampshire. His second wife, Rebecca Kent, was the daughter of Samuel and Rhoda (Hill) Kent and the sister of the Rev. Benjamin Kent of Roxbury, Massachusetts.
