- Nancy and her husband, Jonathan, with two sons, Francis and Jonathan, migrated in 1853 from New York to Grant County, Wisconsin. They went in company with Jonathan's brother, DeLoss Totman and his family. They went by train to Chicago, then by oxen-drawn coverd wagon to Wisconsin. There were ten in the party, including the driver.
