- Ref (2) says that all of Bennett's children came from his marriage to Sarah Bosworth. Ref (1) says Bosworth died in 1754. The confusion may stem from the fact that both of Bennett's wives were named Sarah. The Christofferson reference says Bennett's first wife was Sarah Lindsey. From other information in that reference, it appears that Sarah Lindsey is the same person as Sarah Wardwell, Bennett's second wife.
Sarah Wardwell burned to death at the age of 94 years when a handkerchief worn around her neck caught fire while she was lifting a kettle from an open fireplace.
