BIO:New Carlisle United Church Records, Bonaventure Co., Quebec:
TBL:1908 - Married - Jesse William Munro, son of Frederick Augustus Munro and Laura Caldwell, married Edith Scott, adopted daughter of Francis Scott and Margaret Eliza LeGallais on June 1, 1908.
TBL:1965 - DIED - Edith (Scott) Munro, wife of Jessie Munro, Paspebiac; born December 1, 1885 - died February 25, 1965.
TBL:Notes from Raymond Munro, February 1993: "I do not know anything about the Skeene family. Mother took care of her adopted Mother when she took sick; in fact, she died at home, and so did her sister Emma. As for the Skeene's - noone came to visit, and there was never any talk about them."
TBL:Edith Skene was the daughter of Mary Ann Skene, spinster. Her father was not listed on the church register. Edith was adopted by Francis Scott and his wife Margaret Eliza Le Gallais. Her birthdate is listed as 30 November 1886 by Nina Dow Gallagher from Port Daniel. Edith always stated her birthdate as December 1st. Mary Ann then married a Mr. Wragge but they had no children.
