«i»I think his «/i»[David's] «i»father was Richard Phillips who married Catherine in 1827. They lived in Mount Pleasant and later they moved to Ancaster. Richard Phillips died in 1845. Richard was married to somebody else before Catherine. He lived in LeRoy, New York before moving to Canada. I have found one paper that says he forced with Butler's Rangers. According to this account, he was captured and sent to jail in Connecticut. «/i»
