«i»Cousin of Colonel Robert Monro (Obsdale Branch); Lieutenant in Captain Robert Munro of Foulis' cpmpamy in service of King Christian IV of Denmark; a valorous young gentleman, killed in a duel by a "Dutch" man names Ranso while quartered in Fehinarn during the winter of 1628-1629 (succeeded as Lieutenant by William Mackay). Foulis company seems to have benn formed in spring of 1629.
