The following is a transcription of RW Munro's genealogy notes:
[Alexander Archibald Munro] «i»Known as Archie. For 25 years head forester at Novar estate, Ross-shire; died 14 Nov. 1997. aged 86; survived by wife Agnes, sons George & Neil & their families; trained at forestry school at Ben More, by Dunoon, & became Forestry Commission forester at Durris near Banchroy,, before moving to Novar as head forester in 1951; influenced Scottish National Party's policy through forestry policy committee, envisaging 6 million acres of productive forest (according to W. Wolfe's obiturary).
