      The following is a transcription of RW Munro's genealogy notes:

      «i»1689. James McMillan and Alexander Munro, troopers of the late Dundee's Horse, were incarcerated in the Canongate Tolbooth (Edinburgh) - Andrew Young, Keeper, by the Duke of Hamiltone's order, and the keeper appoynted by his grace upon sight to set them at liberty. Register of the Privy Council 22 October, 1689.
