    • Mary's first husband was Lieutenant Owen Lindsey of Springfield, son of Arthur Lindsey of Saint Andries, County Mayo, Ireland. Lieutenant Lindsey served int the 52nd Regiment, commanded by his uncle, General Vesey. The regiment served in the Portugese Cacactones, at Aulbera and others.

      Her second husband was Alexander Simpson (or Simson), a solicitor from Dingwall. They had no children.
