  • Notes
    • Gustavus was named after Gustavus Adolphus, King of Sweden, under whom his grandfather, Sir George Munro of Newmore, served for so many years on the continent.

Gustavus married a cousin who became the heiress of Newmore. They lived together so unhappily that they agreed to separate, he went to Culcairn, where he lived during the remainder of his life, and she remained at Newmore.

Gustavus died without any surviving male descendants. He was succeeded by his younger brother, James.
