The following is a transcription of RW "Billy" Munro's genealogy notes:
[Alexander Munro] «i»Born Aberdeen, non-Catholic family; for some time compositor in office of "Aberdeen Herald"; joined church of Rome 1839; studied at Blair's College and Valladolid; appointed to Church of St. Andrew's. Glasgow, 1867; became Provost of Chapter of Canons; declined Bishopric of Dunkeld; received title of Monsignor, 1888; died Glasgow 30 November 1892, aged 72. Member of Glasgow School Board; author of "Calvinism in it's Relation to Scripture and Reason".
