Church, Upper Banchory (until c.1843), and Blackhills, Skene, c.1843-64; took medical course at Marischal College M.D. New York; conductor of Loch-Head hydopathic establishment c.1859-64; of Cluny Hill hydropathic; opened 1865; supt. Waverley hydropathic, Melrose 1868; returned to Forres; author of "Aberdeen Water-Cure Journal (1859-60), "Handbook of Hydropathy", (1878); went to Bishops Teignton, Devon, 1881, died there January 1883 having married Agnes Begg with issue - Alexander Begg (1846-94),
