      The following is a transcription of RW "Billy" Munro's genealogy notes:

      [Alexander Munro]«i» Born (probably at Stoer in Sutherland) c. 1790; graduated Kings College, Aberdeen; teacher in Scotland; left Aysynt for Pictou, Nova Scotia, 1818; "chief financier" of ark; to St. Ann's, Cape Breton, where he called his estate "Ballach Laddich", - schoolmaster at north side of St. Ann's - "victim" of Rev. Norman McLeod, resigned post; went to Canada, but returned; married (before leaving Scotland). Brother of Donald b. c.1795) and John (b. c.180?) See John (1774/5.
