  The following is recorded in the Monroe Family Bible reference: «i»And now A. Wayne Monroe departed this life the 31st of August 1838 being 13 years 4 months & 5 days old. It appeared to be a liver complaint caused by a hurt we think at school. died about half after 10 A.M. & buried 1st.
