  ********** (The following is from "The Munro Beacon" - Vol. 35, No. 3 - "Reign of the House of Stewart (Stuart)" - by Liam Paterson.) «i»James is recorded as being a well-educated, intelligent man who spoke many languages and who had interests in matters such as science and medicine. Like his father before him, James IV died on the field of battle. In his case, it was one of the most disastrous and well-known battles in the long Scots-English conflict - Flodden.
