    • He is found with his mother and brother on the 1900 census for Van Zandt County, Texas. It is presumed that his father died before then.

      After his mother died, William and his brother, Luther, moved to San Angelo, Texas where they ran a store.

      He and his brother had both died suddenly by 1943. Their uncle, Jefferson D. Monroe stayed on and ran the store until he took ill.
