• Notes

  One reference spells her name Munroe. An interesting note about her husband, Amos, is that though he was born on 11 Dec 1750, he was baptised on 17 Mar 1750! This is not an error, but an excellent illustration of the fact that until 1752, New Year's Day was March 25. Sometime before 1783, Amos changed the spelling of his name to Chafee.
