- Hezekiah was a soldier in the American Revolution serving in Captain Rand's company and in Captain Thomas' company of Rindge, New Hampshire.
Soon after his marriage, he moved to Grafton, Vermont. There he was a farmer and attended the Baptist Church. He died from injuries received in drawing wood with oxen.
Hezekiah's wife was the daughter of Colonel Enoch Hale of Rindge, New Hampshire. In 1846 at the age of 80 she went to live with her daughter, Sarah Barton at Rockigham, Vermont where she remained in a quiet and lovely old age until her death at Christmas.
