- Jonas was a private in a Massachusetts unit during the Revolutionary War.
Munroe Family History published by American Genealogical Research Institute lists Jonas' wife as Sarah Henry (see Clan Munro files - Cones, Mona). But Lexington Munroes, 2nd ed. p. 86 lists Sarah Henry as the wife of another Jonas Munroe 1/12-16. One of these sources is in error.
