- Bertha went to California with the family in 1910. Bertha and Burton were divorced shortly after their first child died at birth. She held various secretarial and bookkeeping jobs including one at the Munro's Hardware store lasting a number of years.
Bertha's second husband, Lee, died in Oct 1982. The next spring, she moved into the California Christian Home in Rosemead, California. She died 30 Mar 1985.
