    • Ira was born about 1844 near Healey Falls, Seymour Township, Northumberland County, Ontario, Canada. He moved with his family to Michigan in 1865 and homesteaded 80 acres in Pinora Township, Lake County, Michigan in 1866.

      He married Deborah Ann, a Canadian in about 1870. They had three children in Pinora Township and then moved to Munro Township, Cheboygan County, Michigan in 1876. There they had another child.

      Ira is believed to have died or was killed about 1882.
