• Notes

  "Pa" as he was called, was a quiet gentleman. He was self educated as he did not finish high school. He was said to have read a lot and learned much from the National Geographic. He loved children and his favorite sport was baseball. Orrin ran a grocery store in Cheyenne on Bent Street. He sold the store and wnt to work as a civil servant at F. E. Warren Air Force Base. Orrin died of a heart attack after moving several bags of concrete at work. It was told by his son that several blacks were told to move the bags but refused so Orrin did it by himself. Orrin served during World War I and was exposed to mustard gas. He was bald and grew his hair long on one side and combed it over.
