  • Notes
    • When his father purchased a farm near Exira in 1882, Joe went to Exira to help him break out the land. He then returned to Des Plains, but after his marriage, he returned to Exira to farm with his father. In later years, Joe took over the operations of the farm. When Joe died, the farm land was split up between his children.
