• Notes

  William was the son of John and Anne (or Ann) (Barton) Linton (or Lyntone). He took out a grant of land in Prince William County, Virginia in the 18th century. Ref 1 says that the children of William and Susannah may have been named Anne and John, but ref 3 gives evidence that their son was named Edmund and their daughter was Anne or Susanna who married (2) Nathaniel Grigsby. Ref 2 says William was born in 1705 and died in 1742.
