• Notes

  George was the progenitor of the Katewell branch. He was killed at the battle of Pinkie in 1547, along with his father. The Loehr reference says George was the son of Andrew Beg Munro (b. 1492) and Euphemia Dunbar. Ref (1) says George was the fifth son of Robert Munro of Foulis, but ref (2) says he was the fourth son.
