  Hugh was a tenant of Kinloch. Captain James Munro VII of Teaninich offered Kinloch to Hugh and his successors for an annual payment of 8 pounds "as long as water ran in the Averon or Alness river." For some reason, Hugh refused it. ********** The following is a transcription of RW Munro's genealogy notes: [Alesander Munro] «i»Third son of Hugh Munro (Kinloch) of Tain branch; m.
