Notes |
- Hugh studied for the Church at the University and King's College in Aberdeen, where he took his M.A. degree in 1767. He was licensed by the Presbytery of Uist on 23 Aug 1773. He was ordained as a missionary to Harris on 30 Mar 1774.
On 15 Apr 1777, he was presented by King George III to the parish of Uig, Lewis, and was admitted there on 3 Jul.
