The following is a transcription of RW "Billy" Munro's genealogy notes:
[Alexander Monro] «i»Eldest son of James Monro of Craiglockhart & Cockburn (died1870); was born 20 May 1859, Succeeded father 1870, and died unmarried 16 October 1879 at Devacolam, Travancore India, as result of an accident, being buried in the American Mission Cemetary at Kodaikanal.
