  In 1800 Jacob and his wife and 3 daughters (all under 9 years of age) lived near his brother, Abraham in Oneida County, New York. «i»********** «/i»The following is from the Spencer reference: «i»There are many early records of land sales by members of the Monroe family. The earliest is a record dated 21 Jan 1799 for land sold by Abraham Munroe to James Benham. Jonas Monro and Samuel Munrow appear in 1803, and Jacob Monroe in 1807.
