James Allan Munro Sr., SSN 044-12-3406, Died July 1, 1956, at Grand View Manor Convalescent Hospital, Hamden, New Haven Co., CT., age 89 years. His usual residence was 507 Whitney Ave., New Haven, CT. He was born 19 September 1866, at Grange, Scotland, his usual occupation was real estate and insurance. He was not a veteran. His father was William Munro, born in Scotland; and his mother was unknown by James A. Munro Jr., informant. The maiden name of his wife was Lida Allen. The disease or condition directly leading to death was cerebral thrombosis and embolus with 40 days interval between onset and death. Antecedent cause was 10 years of generalized arterio sclerosis. No autopsy. Signed by Sam B. Kirby, M.D. who attended James from April 1947 until death.

BIOGRAPHY: Ina Donaldson remembers that James and his brother, Charles, returned to home in Scotland from the USA. They came with their wives. From some notes provided by Jamesina Donaldson (of Mosstodloch, Moray) in a letter dated 3 December, 1997 to Margaret Price.
