    • Daniel was a farmer in Sullivan Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania until he bought a farm in Columbia Township, Bradford County, Pennsylvania in 1865. He served as commissioner of Bradford County for two terms, 1878 to 1884, helping to superintend the building of the Bradford County Home for the helpless in 1880.

      On 1 Sep 1875, he signed the charter of the Sylvania Presbyterian Church. He was a loyal member of this church.
