      "...Barbara, who married the Rev. John Bethune, D.D., minster of Dornoch from 1778 to 1816--son of the Rev. John Bethune, minister of Glenshiel, and brother to the Rev. Angus Bethune, minister of Alness, with issue--six sons and three daughters...Dr Bethune died on the 8th of October, 1816, his wife surviving him until the 7th of March, 1835."
