  • Notes
    • George graduated from St. John's College in 1872. He became associated with his father in the merchantile business in Annapolis and pursued that career for the rest of his life.

He lived in Southern Pines, North Carolina, for many years. He had been brought up in the Methodist faith, but during his residence in Southern Pines, he affiliated with Emmanuel Episcopal Church there and served as a delegate to two conventions of the Diocese of North Carolina.

He is described as a dapper little man, very slight, who always wore silk gloves. As a boy, Frank A. Munroe, Jr., remembered his Uncle George (perhaps mistakenly) as something of a "black sheep" and that he had been married and divorced at some time before he married Dinah "Nina" E. McKee.
George died in the hospital in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
